# Monfil

> Monfil is a free desktop feed reader for macOS, Windows and Linux. It follows RSS and Atom feeds, Substack, Google Alerts, YouTube, GitHub and GitLab releases, Hacker News, arXiv, Bluesky, Mastodon, developer conferences and job boards (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby) in one place. You paste the link of a page and Monfil finds the feed. There is no account, no Monfil server and no algorithm: items arrive newest first and your data stays on your computer.

Monfil is made by Théo Penavaire. It is source-available under the Business Source License 1.1, and each version becomes MIT four years after its release.
